The purpose of the camps is 'to bring health and hope to the poor of Nepal'. Since 1993 there have been around a hundred camps in many poor communities, treating tens of thousands of outpatients and performing thousands of operations. An average camp lasts about a week, treating several hundred outpatients and performing around a hundred operations. Short-term volunteers from around the world [including Nepal] come together with Nepali colleagues to carry out surgical, dental, gynæcological, ear and other types of camps. Based in the INF Camps Office next to INF Nepal's Central Office in Pokhara, the twelve-person INF Nepal camps team includes: Eka Dev Devkota [Administrator]; Robin Lama; Bishnu Kumar Rai; Govinda Paudel; Min Gurung; Suk Gurung; Anandi Devkota; Indra Sahi; Rabi Gurung; Rogina Thapa; Dil Kumari Giri; and Ganga Thapa.
