Are you a speech and language therapist? Do you have experience of working in communities? Do you enjoy passing your skills on to others? Do you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team? INF Nepal needs an expatriate Christian to help pass on basic speech and language therapy skills to community workers in mid-western Nepal, working with INF Nepal community staff and local partner organisations

 

INF Nepal’s Partnership For Rehabilitation is looking for an expatriate Christian who is a qualified and registered speech and language therapist with experience of working in communities, preferably with people from the Indian sub-continent.

He / she will train the staff of INF Nepal community based rehabilitation departments in Banke and Dang, and also local partner organisations.

Staff have limited education, and some also do basic physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

He / she will work with INF Nepal's Nepali and expatriate Phsyiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

The post is for a minimum of two years after Nepali language training and is currently vacant.

Candidates must be proficient in the English language.
Training in the Nepali language is provided for expatriate workers, differing in length depending on the duration of their assignments.

INF is unable to pay salaries to expatriate workers in Nepal.
Expatriates in INF are seconded by agencies in home countries who help them find their funding.

In the UK / Australia / New Zealand one of the options available to candidates is secondment to INF in Nepal via INF UK / INF Australia / INF New Zealand respectively.
