Today is the 59th annual World Leprosy Day. This special event is marked each year in different countries all over the world in order to raise public awareness of a disease which, according to recent estimates, still affects around four million people worldwide. INF has served people affected by leprosy in Nepal since the 1950s. Although leprosy has now been statistically 'eliminated' in the country it has yet to be totally 'eradicated'.
