To enhance operational efficiency and foster strategic alignment, INF Nepal’s Community Health and Development (CHD) Program conducted a consolidated series of four key workshops in May 2025. This integrated approach was designed to optimize both time and resources, while ensuring comprehensive engagement and collaboration across the CHD Program’s operational districts and central office.
The primary objectives of the workshop series were to align all programmatic interventions with the CHD Strategic Plan 2025–2030, develop a robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework, establish a centralized beneficiaries database system, conduct a thorough review and reflection on the achievements and challenges of the previous fiscal year, and develop a clear and actionable roadmap for the new fiscal year 2082/83 (2025/26).
The sessions were guided by the annual theme for FY 2082/83 (2025/26):
“Boosting Efficiency through Transparency, Accountability, and Eliminating Redundancies.”
Workshop Overview
MEAL Workshop (9–10 May 2025)
This session focused on the establishment of a structured MEAL framework capable of effectively tracking progress toward the CHD Strategic Plan 2025–2030. With the participation of 38 individuals—including CHD team members, IT and Communications staff, district leads, and project officers—the workshop emphasized practical and participatory learning. The resulting MEAL framework now provides a unified approach to monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning across all CHD projects and locations.Annual Review and Reflection Workshop (11–12 May 2025)
This workshop provided a platform to critically assess the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned from FY 2081/82 (2024/25). A total of 58 staff members engaged in creative, participatory sessions that promoted knowledge sharing without reliance on formal presentations. This enabled deeper reflection and learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the program. Emphasis was placed on the principles of learn, un-learn, and re-learn as essential components for individual and organizational growth.CHD Program Approach Review Workshop (11–12 May 2025)
Conducted concurrently with the Review and Reflection session, this workshop focused on refining the CHD Program’s strategic and operational approaches. Through facilitated discussions and assessments—led by Dr. Kamal Phuyal—participants evaluated the relevance and effectiveness of INF Nepal’s CIDA (Community-Initiated Development Approach) framework in relation to evolving development contexts and organizational goals. Key recommendations were made on what to continue, discontinue, or revise within the program manual to enhance efficiency and impact.Annual Planning Workshop (13–14 May 2025)
Building on the learnings and reflections from previous sessions, this workshop engaged 58 staff members in developing a detailed strategic and operational plan for FY 2082/83 (2025/26). Each district team presented their annual plans and reviewed progress on previously agreed actions from FY 2081/82 (2024/25). A significant focus was placed on fostering inter-project integration and synergy across different thematic areas. The workshop culminated in the formulation of clear operational roles, mentorship mappings, updated guidelines, and the strategic finalization of the Beneficiaries Database Management System.
